A hidden display feature named 'Screen Tint' has been uncovered in the latest Windows 11 preview build. This feature allows users to overlay different colored filters on the screen to reduce visual fatigue. Unlike the existing Night Mode, Screen Tint offers six preset tints, each optimized for different usage scenarios: amber is suitable for prolonged computer use; rose helps reduce migraine triggers and sensitivity to fluorescent lighting; soft yellow can alleviate visual stress and enhance reading comfort. Additionally, Screen Tint supports custom tints, enabling users to choose any color as a screen overlay and adjust the filter intensity via a dedicated slider. Although the feature is not yet officially available, the preview build code suggests that Microsoft plans to place it in the Accessibility settings, alongside existing visual aids like color filters, contrast themes, and magnifier.
