Microsoft has rolled out a built-in internet speed test feature to all eligible Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 users via the April 2026 cumulative update KB5083769. This feature initially began testing in the 25H2 version preview in September 2025, and was initially available only to preview users. By February 2026, Microsoft gradually made this feature available to non-Insider users through the optional update KB5077241. Users can perform a network speed test by selecting the 'Run Speed Test' option in the right-click menu of the network icon on the taskbar, utilizing a Bing-integrated speed test page (powered by Ookla).
