At 12:03 PM on April 14, the RK-1 Yao-12 carrier rocket i-Nature, developed by CAS Space, was successfully launched from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Pilot Zone. Utilizing a "one rocket, eight satellites" strategy, the rocket deployed eight satellites, including the satellite for the Postal Savings Bank of China, into their designated orbits. This event marks the official start of RK-1's frequent launch schedule for the year.
According to CAS Space, the RK-1 carrier rocket currently boasts an annual production capacity exceeding 10 units, with the assembly and testing cycle shortened to just one month. By adopting a pulsating and rhythmic production model, the annual production capacity is projected to surge to 30 units in the future. Additionally, the order response cycle has been streamlined to within six months, encompassing the entire process from contract signing to launch.
Meng Xiangfu, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of CAS Space's RK-1 program, stated that as the launch frequency ramps up, RK-1 is also set to conduct its inaugural maritime launch to fulfill mission requirements for low-inclination satellites.
