On April 2, Cangzhou Mingzhu made an announcement stating that its subsidiary's subsidiary, Cangzhou Mingzhu Lithium-Ion Battery Separator Co., Ltd., is teaming up with Cangzhou Mingchuang Lithium-Ion Battery Development Co., Ltd. to form a joint venture project company in the Cangzhou High-Tech Zone. This collaboration aims to drive forward the construction of a project that will annually produce 1.2 billion square meters of wet-process lithium-ion battery separators (Phase II). The project will require a total investment of RMB 1.8 billion, which will be mainly allocated to the establishment of four ultra-thin wet-process separator production lines, along with the necessary supporting facilities. The project's timeline includes signing equipment procurement contracts in early April 2026, initiating construction before the end of May 2026, and commencing trial production in January 2028.
