On February 10 (local time), China’s first domestically developed C909 ‘Air Hospital’ successfully carried out its inaugural in-flight eye surgery in Laos, with the patient making a smooth recovery post-operation. The ‘Air Hospital’ initiated its cross-border public welfare medical mission on February 6 and, to date, has offered complimentary medical consultations to more than 600 local patients. Outfitted with ophthalmic surgical microscopes, ear-nose-throat endoscopes, and a digital diagnostic and therapeutic system, it is capable of performing multidisciplinary collaborative diagnoses and treatments. The event is set to continue until February 15, encompassing mobile medical services, surgical demonstrations, personnel training, and the donation of medical supplies.
