On Tuesday local time, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved Amazon's application to deploy 4,500 satellites. This move will expand Amazon's satellite constellation, enabling it to compete with Musk's SpaceX. After approval, Amazon plans to deploy a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation of approximately 7,700 satellites. Since April last year, the company has launched over 150 satellites through multiple rocket launch service providers. Amazon stated that its goal is to provide satellite internet through the 'Leo' service later this year.
