US-based Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) stated on the 2nd that an anomaly occurred in the latter part of the mission involving the rocket's second stage during the day's 'Starlink' satellite launch. The rocket was launched at 7:47 a.m. (US Western Time) on the 2nd from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, successfully deploying 25 satellites into low-Earth orbit. However, after the satellite deployment was completed, an anomaly occurred when the second stage was preparing to execute the deorbit burn sequence. Subsequently, it completed passivation as per the designed procedure. Currently, the mission team is reviewing the data to determine the cause of the failure and develop corrective measures. Until then, subsequent launch missions will be suspended.
