On February 2, as the market closed, all three of the major U.S. stock indices experienced collective gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.05%, the Nasdaq Composite Index climbed 0.56%, and the S&P 500 Index was up 0.54%. The performance of large-cap tech stocks was a mixed bag: Nvidia and Oracle both saw declines exceeding 2%, Tesla dropped 2%, while Microsoft and Meta each fell more than 1%, and Netflix experienced a slight downturn. In contrast, Apple surged more than 4%, and both Amazon and Google posted gains exceeding 1%.
On the Chinese concept stock front, most of the popular names retreated. XPeng Motors tumbled over 8%, NIO and Baidu each fell more than 3%, Bilibili dropped over 2%, and both Tiger Brokers and Tencent Music saw declines exceeding 1%. However, there were bright spots—Dingdong Fresh soared nearly 7%, and Pinduoduo rose more than 2%.
