Today, AIRSAT proudly announced that its AIRSAT - 02 satellite has successfully completed a 120Gbps ultra-high-speed satellite-to-ground laser communication operational application test. This significant milestone was achieved in collaboration with the laser ground station located in Taxian County, under the auspices of the Aerospace Information Research Institute. Throughout the test, the communication link remained stable, and the data quality was of an exceptionally high standard.

The AIRSAT - 02 satellite was launched into orbit in September 2024. In January 2025, it accomplished a 60Gbps satellite-to-ground laser communication experiment. Building on this success, the latest test further enhanced the code rate by leveraging on-orbit software reconfiguration of the satellite. This approach not only optimized the satellite's performance but also effectively validated its operational capabilities in real-world scenarios.

The operational deployment of ultra-high-speed satellite-to-ground communication technology is a game-changer. It significantly eases the pressure on satellite data transmission, a critical bottleneck in modern space-based communication systems. Moreover, it provides robust technical support for real-time remote sensing services, enabling more accurate and timely data acquisition and analysis. This advancement paves the way for a new era of satellite communication, where speed, reliability, and efficiency are paramount.
