Singapore-based tech firm Grab Holdings has declared a complete takeover of the Chinese AI robotics company Infermove (also known as Xingxing Technology). This strategic move is aimed at boosting its service proficiency in the 'first mile' and 'last mile' segments of logistics and delivery services.

Established in 2021, Infermove is dedicated to creating autonomous driving systems and exclusive hardware products tailored for non-motorized road settings. These include sidewalk delivery robots and robots designed to carry passengers. The company's flagship product, Carri Flex, is equipped with single-arm upper limb manipulation capabilities. This allows it to autonomously interact with food delivery cabinets and elevators, effectively closing the loop between indoor and outdoor unmanned delivery systems.

Moreover, Infermove has successfully adapted its land-based training models for use on waterborne robot platforms, leading to their commercial application in aquaculture settings.

As a premier ride-hailing and food delivery platform in Southeast Asia, Grab intends to capitalize on Infermove's autonomous mobile robot technology. The goal is to elevate the service experiences for both users and partners, with aspirations to further innovate and develop relevant technological solutions with a base in Singapore.
