On January 6, a Xiaomi spokesperson announced that, in light of the team's engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) on the 5th, the company had promptly launched a special investigation and arrived at a preliminary finding. Xu Jieyun, General Manager of the Public Relations Department, declared the cessation of all related contacts and pledged that there would be no future collaborations. Now, the results of the official investigation have been made public. Following deliberations among the management team, it was concluded that the incident represented a grave breach of conduct. Consequently, a decision was made to terminate the employment of the personnel involved. Group Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Xu Fei, along with Xu Jieyun, the General Manager of the Public Relations Department, were reprimanded for their managerial oversight. Their performance evaluations for 2025 have been downgraded, and their annual bonuses have been revoked. Previously, the news of Xiaomi's collaboration with KOL "Omnipotent Big Bear" (Zong Ning) had sparked widespread discussion on social media, with netizens urging Xiaomi to sever ties with the influential blogger who had previously made defamatory remarks about the company. Zong Ning has been embroiled in online infringement disputes and was even temporarily banned from Weibo in the past.
