On December 31, 2025, CATL and the People's Government of Xiamen Municipality inked a strategic cooperation pact, aiming to collaboratively construct a zero-carbon tech metropolis and pioneer novel approaches for the advancement of zero-carbon cities and industries. As per the agreement, both parties will prioritize the establishment of a global zero-carbon technology research and development hub, vigorously foster zero-carbon tech services, and leverage the zero-carbon tech city as a pivotal platform to entice and unite upstream and downstream enterprises within the zero-carbon sector. This, in turn, will facilitate the creation of a synergistic industrial ecosystem. CATL is set to leverage its existing industrial footprints in Xiamen, including Xiamen Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL Xiamen), Amperex Time Energy (ATE), Contemporary Electric Vehicle Services (CEVS), and Demonstrative Energy Storage, to extensively broaden its zero-carbon ecosystem business scope.
