On December 15, 2025, a significant cooperation agreement was inked between Sunwoda Power Technology Co., Ltd. and the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology. Alongside Sunwoda Electronic Corporation and Huizhou Liwei Battery Co., Ltd., these entities collaboratively founded the 'Sunwoda-Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology University-Enterprise Joint Laboratory'.

In the laboratory's inaugural R&D phase, the emphasis lies on pivotal materials for lithium battery cells and the advancement of cutting-edge systems. This encompasses research avenues like high-safety electrolyte technology, high-energy-density anode systems, and polymer solid-state electrolytes.

Sunwoda Power takes charge of aligning the research with industrial needs and offering support for practical application scenarios. Meanwhile, the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology furnishes a scientific research platform and lends its backing to fundamental research endeavors.
