Against the backdrop of civilian supersonic passenger transport still awaiting a revival, Canadian aerospace firm Bombardier has announced the official entry into service of its new-generation Global 8000 business jet. With a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.95, this aircraft outpaces its main rival, the Gulfstream G700 (which has a top speed of Mach 0.935), securing its place as one of the fastest civilian jet aircraft currently in operation.

The Global 8000 offers an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles (approximately 14,816 kilometers), facilitating direct intercontinental flights on routes such as Singapore to Los Angeles and Dubai to Houston. Powered by two GE Passport engines, which have been optimized using CFM Leap technology, the aircraft employs titanium alloy blisk technology to enhance both stability and thrust.

Inside, the cabin is designed with a four-compartment layout, accommodating up to 19 passengers. The pressure altitude within the cabin is maintained at a comfortable 2,900 feet, significantly enhancing passenger comfort.

On December 8, 2025, the inaugural Global 8000 was delivered to customer Patrick Dovigi, with Chartright Air Group managing its operations.
