On November 26, the Information Office of Guangdong Province convened a press conference to introduce the 2025 Greater Bay Area Science Forum. During the meeting, it was revealed that this forum is set to occur simultaneously in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao from December 6 to 8. The overarching theme of the forum is "Smart Innovation in the Greater Bay Area: Fostering Industry-Academia Integration."

This forum is co-hosted by the governments of Guangdong Province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Macao Special Administrative Region. The Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Administrative Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone are responsible for its organization.

The event will encompass an opening ceremony, a main forum, several sub-forums, and a range of special activities. The main forum is scheduled to take place in Nansha, Guangzhou, on December 7. It will feature keynote speeches delivered by Turing Award laureates, well-known academicians from both domestic and international academic circles, as well as leaders of prominent enterprises.

The forum will zero in on cutting-edge domains, including next-generation artificial intelligence and new materials. Multiple sub-forums and special events will be held to delve deeper into these areas. Additionally, the forum will continue to host the "Chinese Academy of Sciences - Guangdong Province Science and Technology Achievements Matchmaking Event." This initiative aims to create a collaborative platform that bridges the gap between scientific and technological achievements and industrial requirements.
