Global Rollout of the World's Pioneering Intelligent Manufacturing System for ADC and Nucleotide Monomer Drugs

East China Normal University, in collaboration with ChemPartner Co., Ltd., has officially launched the world's inaugural intelligent manufacturing system specifically designed for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and the synthesis of nucleotide phosphoramidite monomers. This innovative system addresses the long-standing bottleneck of "pilot-scale amplification," transforming traditional production paradigms into more compact, "desktop-style" manufacturing processes.

Specifically, the intelligent manufacturing system for ADC drugs enables fully automated and continuous synthesis, facilitates real-time online monitoring and precise control, and significantly reduces the time required for process development and optimization. Meanwhile, the intelligent manufacturing system for nucleotide monomer drugs employs a green reaction pathway, enabling continuous, round-the-clock synthesis and effectively resolving issues related to quality fluctuations.

Qian Xuhong, President of East China Normal University, emphasized the system's paramount importance, noting that it provides vital technological support for ensuring the security of the biopharmaceutical industry chain and fosters the creation of new research and development paradigms. Li Honglin, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, highlighted that this achievement stands as a unique outcome of the School's "intelligent drug manufacturing" initiative. It successfully overcomes key technical hurdles, with over 95% localization of core components, thereby substantially reducing overall production costs.
