Early Monday morning Eastern Time, Google's Class A shares remained relatively stable. To resolve antitrust allegations in Australia, Google has agreed to pay a penalty of AUD$36 million (roughly equivalent to USD$23.4 million). The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's (ACCC) investigation revealed that Google had paid telecommunications operators to pre-install the Google Search app on Android devices, effectively sidelining competitors' search engines.
