The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) has developed the "Implementation Rules for Compulsory Product Certification: Mobile Power Supplies, Lithium-ion Batteries, and Battery Packs (Trial)," set to take effect on August 15, 2025. These regulations are designed to bolster the oversight of mandatory product certification for mobile power supplies, lithium-ion batteries, and battery packs. Certified bodies must establish detailed implementation guidelines based on the new version and obtain CNCA approval before conducting certifications. Existing valid certification certificates will remain in use, facilitating a seamless transition process.
