The State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China have recently unveiled the first national standard for cloud supercomputing, GB/T 45400-2025, which will take effect in October of this year. This landmark standard was spearheaded and crafted by leading institutions including Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Tencent Cloud, and the China Electronics Standardization Institute. The objective of this standard is to establish a solid foundation for the widespread adoption of cloud supercomputing in the realm of high-performance computing, thereby propelling China's computing power infrastructure into a new era of standardization and intelligence.
