Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China have officially unveiled the inaugural national standard for cloud supercomputing, designated as GB/T 45400-2025, which will come into effect this October. This groundbreaking standard was jointly developed by Alibaba Cloud in partnership with esteemed institutions such as the China Electronics Standardization Institute. Its primary objectives are to foster the adoption of cloud supercomputing in high-performance computing (HPC) applications, establish a solid foundation for its large-scale deployment, and propel the evolution of China's computing power infrastructure towards standardization and intellectualization. Cloud supercomputing represents an innovative technology that leverages cloud infrastructure to deliver flexible and scalable high-performance computing services.
