Amazon Web Services (AWS) has officially unveiled DeepSeek-R1, a fully managed, serverless large language model, available on Amazon Bedrock. This milestone makes AWS the pioneering cloud service provider to offer such a comprehensive, managed service. According to Vasi Philomin, Vice President of Generative AI at AWS, customers now have access to DeepSeek-R1 through a serverless, pay-per-token pricing model. This innovation eliminates the need for infrastructure management and allows for seamless scaling, from experimental stages to full production. Since its launch in late January, thousands of customers have leveraged Amazon Bedrock's custom model import feature to deploy DeepSeek-R1.
