Furthermore, OpenAI and the SoftBank team are actively scouting potential sites for future data centers, eyeing locations such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Oregon, and Salt Lake City.
Previously, US President Trump announced a monumental investment plan, involving Oracle, OpenAI, and the Japanese SoftBank Group. The trio aims to invest $500 billion in establishing the "StarGate" AI infrastructure within the United States, commencing with an initial investment of $100 billion, which is projected to escalate to $500 billion over the course of four years.
