On October 19 (local time), 3M unveiled plans to deepen its strategic business partnership with an Amazon subsidiary owned entirely by Amazon, alongside the issuance of a seven-year warrant to another wholly-owned Amazon entity. This warrant grants Amazon the right to buy up to 3.162 million ordinary shares of 3M at a price of $164.89 per share. Specifically, 85% of these shares will become eligible for purchase incrementally as Amazon makes payments for optical connection and data center products, with full eligibility achieved once cumulative payments hit $6 billion. The eligibility for the remaining 15% of the shares is contingent upon the attainment of certain predefined event milestones.
