The demand for computing power is rapidly evolving into a catalyst for performance enhancement and profit growth among listed companies. Recent third-quarter reports, performance forecasts, and preliminary financial disclosures from A-share listed companies within related industrial chains reveal a notable uptick in server, computing, and storage chip sales. Simultaneously, sectors such as high-end copper-clad laminates and printed circuit boards are experiencing improved profitability. This trend is extending its reach to encompass various sectors, including optical communications and production testing equipment. Liu Ying, a researcher at the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies at Renmin University of China, emphasized that the demand for computing power is propelling the production of related manufacturing sectors by increasing the procurement of products like servers, chips, and optical communication devices. This, in turn, is spurring investments in research and development, capacity expansion, and equipment upgrades. Throughout this transformation, industrial investment is increasingly focusing on areas such as computing power, semiconductors, and high-end equipment, signaling a significant shift in the driving forces behind industrial growth.
