On October 14, it was reported that South Korea's information and communication technology (ICT) exports soared to US$75.15 billion in September of this year, marking the first time they have exceeded the US$70 billion threshold. According to the data on ICT import and export trends for September 2026, released jointly by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, ICT exports in September witnessed a remarkable year-on-year increase of 195.8%. These exports accounted for a substantial 62.1% of South Korea's total exports, surpassing the 60% mark for the second consecutive month.
