As per reports, NTT Data, a subsidiary under the umbrella of Japanese telecommunications behemoth NTT, is currently deep in the final rounds of negotiations with Anthropic. The aim is to construct a data center in Osaka, Japan, with the total costs soaring up to 1 trillion yen (equivalent to approximately $6.3 billion). This data center is projected to possess a maximum power access capacity of up to 500 megawatts. It's anticipated that the center will become partially operational as soon as 2028. Both parties involved have set their sights on inking an agreement before the conclusion of the fiscal year 2026.
