E-commerce giant Coupang announced on Wednesday that its second-quarter performance resulted in a loss, impacted by fines stemming from a massive data breach incident. The company reported a net loss of 865 billion won (approximately $570 million) for the second quarter, compared to a net profit of 43.5 billion won in the same period last year. Coupang's revenue primarily comes from its South Korean operations, and in November 2025, it faced severe public criticism after over 37 million customer data records were exposed in a breach.
