Data from Ireland's Central Statistics Office reveals that, notwithstanding Dublin's enduring enforcement of stringent grid access constraints on data centers, the power consumption of these centers across the country witnessed a substantial uptick of 10% in 2025. Specifically, it escalated from 6,973 gigawatt-hours in 2024 to 7,663 gigawatt-hours, thereby representing 23% of the nation's total recorded electricity consumption.
