A senior official from Thailand's Ministry of Energy stated that Thailand plans to expedite investments in liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure and natural gas exploration due to a significant increase in power demand from newly built data centers. Permanent Secretary of Thailand's Ministry of Energy, Bussaba Sinsukprasert, told reporters on Wednesday that the government is drafting a new power development plan to ensure an adequate power supply for data centers. Once these data centers are fully operational, their total power consumption is expected to reach 20,000 megawatts.
