Recently, a group of Mississippi residents in the United States has initiated legal proceedings against Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) and its recently amalgamated entity, xAI. As per court records disclosed on June 9, three individuals, acting on behalf of a collective exceeding 10,000 people, have lodged a class-action lawsuit in the state’s federal court. They allege that the power plants operated by these two companies, which supply electricity to data centers, are persistently generating excessive noise. This, they claim, has inflicted mental distress on the residents and resulted in a decline in property values, prompting them to seek compensation.
