Matthew Prince, the CEO of Cloudflare, a prominent network infrastructure provider, recently shared in a post that, based on real-time monitoring by Cloudflare Radar over the past seven days, bot traffic now constitutes 57.5% of global HTTP requests directed at HTML web content. This marks the first time that bot traffic has surpassed human traffic, which stands at 42.5%. This significant shift has occurred more than a year ahead of industry predictions.

However, some netizens have expressed skepticism, pointing out that accurately discerning whether requests originate from bots or from humans controlling them is currently challenging. They argue that some bot traffic may actually come from crawlers or automated scripts. Furthermore, it's important to note that this data solely pertains to HTML web page requests. When considering the broader scope of total internet bandwidth—which encompasses video streaming, infinite scrolling on social media platforms, in-app APIs, and more—human traffic still holds the dominant position, accounting for roughly 65%.
