On this year's 'World Password Day', security firm Kaspersky unveiled research findings indicating that, when employing a single high-performance GPU for brute-force attacks on password hashes secured by the MD5 algorithm, roughly 60% of such passwords can be compromised within just one hour. Impressively, about 48% of these passwords succumb to the attack within a mere minute. This revelation has once again sparked industry-wide concerns regarding the security vulnerabilities of traditional passwords.
