Industry data on Tuesday showed that Amazon Web Services (AWS) Korea plans to invest 7 trillion won (approximately US$4.6 billion) by 2031 to expand its AI and cloud infrastructure. This investment comes on top of the 5.6 trillion won AWS has already invested in South Korea, bringing the cumulative investment to 12.6 trillion won, making it the largest investment by a global cloud service provider in South Korea to date.
