On March 24, 2026, Amazon stated that due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, its cloud computing service (AWS) region in Bahrain experienced a service disruption. This marks the second time this month that facilities in the region have been forced to shut down due to attacks involving drone activities. Earlier in early March, two AWS facilities in the UAE and one in Bahrain were already targeted by drone strikes, resulting in structural damage and service interruptions, with some services yet to be fully restored.
