On March 23, Liu Liehong, the Director of the National Data Bureau, announced at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the China Development Forum that the establishment of a nationwide, integrated computing power network has been earmarked for inclusion in the '15th Five-Year Plan'. The National Data Bureau is set to expedite the development of national core computing power facility clusters, back the judicious expansion of computing power in suitable areas, foster the harmonious growth of cloud-edge-end computing, and reinforce national integrated computing power monitoring and coordination. These efforts aim to boost computing power accessibility and precise matching capabilities, elevate the efficiency of computing power resource utilization, and more effectively cater to the computing power demands of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as research institutions.
