Amazon's cloud computing facilities in the Middle East experienced power and network connectivity failures due to an attack by an unknown 'object' on its data center in the UAE. On March 2, Amazon AWS stated that its facilities in the UAE and Bahrain were affected by drone strikes amid Middle East conflicts. According to the AWS status page, these 'objects' triggered a fire on Sunday, prompting authorities to ultimately cut power to two data center clusters in the UAE, with power supply expected to resume in at least one day.
