With the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC2026) on the horizon, Huawei has declared its intention to unveil an open-source initiative for the supporting software of the A2A-T protocol during the event. This move aims to catalyze the widespread adoption of telecom-grade communication standards tailored for intelligent agents. The A2A-T protocol, a collaborative effort unveiled by global telecom industry partners on February 6, 2026, establishes a standardized interaction framework for multi-agent collaboration. It enhances integration efficiency, transcends scenario limitations in task collaboration, and expedites the convergence of industrial ecosystems.
The key software components that Huawei is open-sourcing this time encompass the A2A-T protocol Software Development Kit (SDK), a registration center, and an orchestration center. Further details will be disclosed at the Global Autonomous Networks Industry Summit, scheduled to take place from 14:30 to 16:00 on March 2, 2026, at the Sofitel Barcelona Skipper Hotel in Barcelona.
