On Tuesday, Microsoft unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service, with the ambitious goal of extending global network reach. This collaboration comes despite the fact that Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest individual, has initiated legal action against Microsoft's partner, OpenAI. Nevertheless, this strategic alliance underscores Microsoft's commitment to working alongside various companies within Musk's business ecosystem. The Chief Sustainability Officer at Microsoft elaborated that the company intends to merge the capabilities of low-Earth orbit satellite connectivity with community-centric deployment strategies and local ecological collaboration frameworks. Presently, Microsoft is collaborating with Starlink and Kenyan internet service providers to facilitate internet access for 450 community centers throughout Kenya.
