In the first half of 2025, its revenue in China’s local deployment market for distributed transactional databases soared to US$28.1 million, securing the top spot. In the broader market, encompassing public clouds, it claimed the leading position among independent vendors and ranked fourth overall, with revenue reaching US$40.6 million.
During the same period, the market size for distributed transactional databases in China expanded to US$420 million, with the local deployment segment witnessing remarkable growth. As a database independently developed by Ant Group, OceanBase has emerged as an industry benchmark, boasting multiple technological strengths. Its “integrated single-node and distributed” architecture caters to the full lifecycle requirements of enterprises. Since its commercial launch in 2020, OceanBase has catered to over 4,000 customers across diverse applications.
In the financial sector, it provides services to numerous banks and has been successfully deployed in international financial institutions. In the government and central/state-owned enterprise sectors, it underpins the stable operation of multiple critical systems. For its overseas expansion, OB Cloud is now available on seven major cloud platforms, serving over 50 overseas customers.
