Recently, Luo Yonghao took to his social media platform to voice his dissatisfaction with the broadband speed provided by Shanghai Telecom. He shared that, after relocating to Shanghai, he opted for Shanghai Telecom's exclusive gigabit broadband service. However, for over six months, the actual broadband speed he experienced consistently fell short of expectations, rarely exceeding 100 megabits per second. Whenever he reached out to customer service, whether through official channels or informal contacts, the problem would temporarily be resolved, only to resurface within three to five days, with speeds plummeting back to around ninety megabits per second. Feeling utterly helpless, Luo Yonghao lamented that unless a friend could connect him with someone from Shanghai Telecom's broadband team to address the issue definitively, he might resort to venting his frustrations online in a more forceful manner. On the evening of December 19, Shanghai Telecom issued a response, explaining that substandard broadband speeds could stem from a variety of factors. They encouraged users experiencing such issues to call 10000 for complimentary, expert network testing and troubleshooting services.
