The Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology has unveiled the “Several Measures to Support the Cultivation and Development of Future Industries in Chongqing (Draft for Public Comment)” and is currently gathering feedback from the public. The draft outlines 15 targeted policies spanning platform development, talent recruitment and training, as well as financial incentives and subsidies. Notably, qualifying innovation platforms can secure up to 50 million yuan in support per project. This strategic move is designed to expedite the growth of future industries and establish a modern industrial framework underpinned by advanced manufacturing. Presently, Chongqing is prioritizing the advancement of its “6+3” future industry layout, which encompasses six high-potential sectors—such as aerospace information, biomanufacturing, and cutting-edge new materials—alongside three emerging areas, including brain-computer interfaces, photon and quantum technologies, and immersive technologies. By leveraging a suite of policies, the city aims to foster clustered innovation and drive industrial development.
