Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Guoxing Aerospace have marked a significant milestone by hosting a signing ceremony to jointly establish China's inaugural space computing joint laboratory. This laboratory is dedicated to addressing the demands of space-based computing networks and will spearhead cutting-edge technological research. Its primary objective is to construct a robust space computing network and foster the growth of associated industrial clusters.

During the ceremony, it was announced that Dongfang Tiansuan Technology Co., Ltd., serving as an industrialization platform, would be stationed at the Industrial Technology Innovation Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This strategic move is anticipated to expedite the industrialization of space-based computing networks.

Moreover, Beijing has outlined plans to construct a 'Space Data Center,' with the ambition of completing the first space computing center within the next five years. Internationally, Starcloud, backed by NVIDIA, has achieved a breakthrough by successfully training and operating artificial intelligence models in space orbit, setting a new precedent in the field.
