On December 10, the Yinchuan Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China unveiled its proposals for the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development, emphasizing the need to bolster digital infrastructure. The plan details a comprehensive approach, including the widespread deployment of 5G-A networks, a forward-thinking strategy for 6G network development, and a proactive layout for 10-gigabit optical networks. This will be complemented by enhancements to backbone, fiber-optic, and wireless networks.
Furthermore, the proposals advocate for meticulous planning of intelligent computing and supercomputing centers, the establishment of a high-standard, highly secure trusted cloud system, the creation of a standardized, normalized, and reusable Yinchuan data lake, and the development of a scalable public data operation platform. Additionally, the plan focuses on fostering integrated infrastructure, solidifying the foundation for smart cities, and positioning Yinchuan as a leading pilot city for national data infrastructure.
