Of this substantial investment, around US$3.5 billion will be earmarked for domestic research and development (R&D) efforts within the United States. The focus will be on advancing AI-enabled technologies for mobile, fixed access, IP, optical fiber, and data center networks, with Nokia Bell Labs in New Jersey serving as a central hub for these innovations. Furthermore, approximately US$500 million will be directed towards manufacturing and R&D activities in Texas, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, fostering local job creation and technological progress.
