On November 12 (local time), Microsoft made a significant announcement regarding its Azure AI data center in Atlanta, introducing the newly launched Fairwater site. This data center boasts direct connections to other Microsoft data centers and is powered by hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GPUs, earning it the title of the world's first planetary-scale AI super factory from Microsoft. Furthermore, Microsoft has outlined plans to construct a hyper-scale AI data center. This center will be achieved by integrating the existing Fairwater data center in Wisconsin with Azure AI supercomputers, enabling it to handle a diverse range of AI workloads on a global scale.
