On November 7, the AI+ Cloud Network Integration Industry Solution Launch Conference, themed "Intelligent Cables Encircle Africa, Digital Connectivity Shapes the Future," took place in Nairobi, Kenya. During the event, a lighting ceremony was held to inaugurate the eastern segment of the 2Africa submarine cable system, officially marking its operational commencement. This ambitious project, a collaborative effort between China Mobile and several international telecom operators, stretches approximately 45,000 kilometers, linking over 30 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
