On November 7, Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, hosted the AI+Cloud Network Integration Industry Solution Launch Conference. Themed "Empowering Africa with Intelligent Cables, Connecting the Future through Data," the conference featured a ceremony to illuminate the submarine cable resources of the eastern segment of 2Africa, signifying the official activation of this crucial part of the project. Launched in 2020 by China Mobile in collaboration with eight international operators, such as South Africa's Multinational Telecom, Saudi Telecom, and Vodafone, the 2Africa submarine cable project stretches across approximately 45,000 kilometers. It seamlessly connects over 30 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, fostering global connectivity on an unprecedented scale.
