Transaction Volume of Digital Yuan in Pilot Regions Hits 14.2 Trillion Yuan

By the end of September 2025, the Digital Yuan ecosystem had taken its initial shape. In the pilot regions, the cumulative transaction volume had soared to 14.2 trillion yuan. There had been a total of 3.32 billion transactions processed, and 225 million personal wallets had been opened via the Digital Yuan App. At present, the pilot program has extended its reach to 26 regions across 17 provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government). It has successfully developed replicable and scalable application models in diverse fields, such as wholesale and retail sectors, public services, social governance, and rural revitalization initiatives.
