On September 8, 2025, Thunder announced the official release of its new version 12.4.4, introducing a free third-party cloud storage download feature. After completing authorization, users can directly view and download resources within the Thunder client, supporting original-quality cloud playback for mainstream video formats such as MP4, MKV, and MOV, enabling seamless integration of resource browsing, online playback, and local downloads. To cater to diverse user needs, the new version offers two methods for adding cloud storage: first, direct connection to mainstream cloud storage platforms, allowing users to directly add commonly used platforms like Baidu Netdisk and Aliyun Drive; second, mounting via the WebDAV protocol, supporting personalized scenarios such as self-hosted storage and niche cloud storage services.
