Micas Networks introduced three 102.4 Tbps Ethernet switching platforms built around Broadcom Tomahawk 6 technology for AI fabrics. The lineup spans a 4RU air-cooled 800G system, a 2RU liquid-cooled 1.6T system and a 1RU co-packaged optics design.
The 4RU platform offers 128 × 800G OSFP interfaces, while the 2RU liquid-cooled platform offers 64 × 1.6T OSFP interfaces. These configurations provide operators with different options for rack density, cooling and serviceability.
The 1RU system incorporates Broadcom’s Tomahawk 6-Davisson co-packaged optics architecture and provides 64 × 1.6T optical interfaces. Micas targets production of the pluggable systems in Q4 2026 and the CPO design in Q1 2027. At OCP, the company is showing an operational 4RU system and previews of the other configurations.

Analysis
At 102.4T, switch systems are increasingly differentiated by thermal and optical packaging, not only forwarding capacity. Pluggable optics preserve field replacement flexibility, while CPO shortens high-speed electrical paths and may improve power efficiency. The portfolio also demonstrates how liquid cooling is becoming a networking-system design consideration. Production targets should be distinguished from systems currently operating in customer networks.
